Opening an Account is Easy

To be eligible to join First Pioneers FCU, you must meet any of the following common bond criteria:

  • Live, work, worship, or attend school in Lafayette Parish, Acadia Parish, St. Martin Parish, Vermilion Parish, Iberia Parish, Louisiana

  • Immediate family of current First Pioneers FCU members (parents, children, grandchildren, and siblings)

You can either fill out an application online or come into the credit union. Once your application is processed, you will receive your membership card within 5-7 business days.

NOTE: To open your account, you will need the following:

  1. Driver’s License or other government issued ID

  2. Social Security Card, Birth Certificate or Passport

  3. A $5 deposit to open a savings account and/or a $20 deposit to open a checking account

Once a member has opened an account, all close personal relatives of that member are eligible for membership too. Close personal relatives are defined as spouses, parents, grandparents, children, grandchildren, and siblings. At First Pioneers, we are all family!

Minor accounts are available for children under 18.
