Share Certificates
A Share Certificate is an account that typically offers a higher interest rate than a savings or checking account. However, the money must remain in the certificate for a predetermined length of time, known as the certificate’s term. Withdrawing the money before the end of the term will incur penalties. Certificate terms are from 6-60 months. Longer terms generally have higher interest rates.
